Match.com, one of the most popular online dating sites in the world, has recently acquired a new CEO named Greg Blatt. This replaces Thomas Enraght-Mooney, who will be leaving Match.com due to the recent sale of its European operations over to Meetic. Greg Blatt and he has been part of their senior management at IAC for five years, and many consider him experienced enough to run the website and introduce new innovations to the popular online dating community.

Match.com is part of IAC, a large company that also owns several other dating websites such as Udate and Chemistry.com, although those have not been as successful as the company has mainly concentrated their efforts on their trademark site. With the announcement of the new CEO, IAC seems to be paying more attention to those other services, as Greg Blatt has the responsibility to ensure the success of all of IAC’s services. It has been announced that Thomas Enraght-Mooney will be working with Greg Blatt for a while to help smoothen the transition of power and teach Greg Blatt a few tricks that keep the customers happy. After that, Mooney may take some time off to spend time with his family.

So what does this all mean for IAC and its renowned dating services? A different head often contributes different ideas, so users of Match.com (and certainly those using other dating services) can look forward to new innovations as Greg Blatt settles down as the new CEO. Whether he succeeds in propelling his services to the next level, however, is something that only time can tell.
